Tour description

Usiacurí is known as the Atlantico Manger for its traditional houses and wide viewpoints that allow us to observe the colorful roofs of the houses that exalt the variety of flora and fauna of the area.

What are we going to do?

During the tour we will visit the Santo Domingo de Guzmán church from where we will have the best view of the municipality and from where we will be able to appreciate the first and largest roof mural in the country. We will walk through the streets to find colorful facades, graffiti alluding to the Caribbean culture and workshops of artisans who make unique pieces every day in Palma de Iraca.

In addition, you will learn the details of the elaboration of this type of handicraft, the stitches, production processes and you will be able to weave one with your own hands. Finally we will arrive at the central square where you will find the house-museum of the famous poet Julio Florez, the graffiti that adorn it, the famous wells with medicinal waters and many stores with a variety to buy handicrafts for export at local prices.
