Tour description
Delight yourself with the most characteristic dishes of the colombian caribbean coast, while you learn about the origin, history and the gastronomic influence of world migrants that arrived to stay in our cuisine.
What are we going to do?
You will visit three emblematic places for the Caribbean cuisine - Cucayo, Narcobollo and Palenque - to taste some of its most representative dishes such as 'Arepa de huevo', 'bollo de mazorca' with cheese, the Corn drink 'chicha', 'guarapo' (made with sugarcane), the sweet plantains and the traditional 'Patacones'.
There will be 15 tastings that will show the history of how the caribbean cuisine is a mixture of races, mainly indigenous, african and spanish; what ingredients were a milestone during the Conquest and the dishes that derived from the fusion of these three cuisines.
Finalizing with a cooking experience accompanied by a local chef to prepare, with your own hands, a typical dish in a traditional environment that will lead you to immerse yourself in the local culture. These places harvest the caribbean charm with unique and picturesque elements that serve as appetizers for travelers hungry for knowledge and new flavors.
